Fishing Derby
Every year, the Broomfield Open Space Foundation, in cooperation with the City and County of Broomfield and Colorado Parks & Wildlife, sponsors a free Kids' Fishing Derby for ages 6 to 12 years. A brief introductory fishing clinic, poles, and bait are provided, and then kids will enjoy a one-hour fishing session. Parent/guardian supervision and pre-registration required.

Registration starts in March, and the Fishing Derby takes place in early May. Registration can be done through Recreation Services by calling 303.460.6901 or 303.464.5501, online, or at either of the recreation centers. You'll be able to select your preferred one-hour time slot when you register.
