  1. The Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library and Fiesta Colorado Dance Company present In Celebration of El Día de Los Niños - The Day of the Children ¡Danzantes de Colores!

    The colorful dancers will perform traditional dances from Mexico. There will special dances celebrating the Colors of Spring with the Spanish dances from the Classical children’s Book, “ Ferdinand the Bull”. The program is directed by Jeanette Trujillo. Be Happy and join Fiesta Colorado and the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public LIbrary for a fun evening of song and dance! The show is a joyful experience for children of all ages! El Dia de Los Ninos Program is Sponsored by the City and County of Broomfield, the Broomfield Council on the Arts and Humanities and the Broomfield Library Friends and Foundation.

    Every four year old in Colorado can receive their own copy of the same book to keep! Bring your four year old to the Children's Library any time between April 17 to May 1 to pick up the free book! There will be English and Spanish versions available. Curious what the book is? This year's book will be announced on Monday, April 17. One Book 4 Colorado aims to get a book into the home of every four year old in Colorado, promoting early literacy skills and helping families serve as their children's first and most important teachers. These classes are for those who use English as a second language and do not specifically emphasize grammar or vocabulary.
