  1. Children - Baby Story Time

    All ages welcome! This program features participatory stories, songs and movement activities geared towards promoting early literacy and building a foundation for a love of books. Age appropriate activities are presented in three segments from younger to older in order to meet the developmental needs of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Transitions are built into the program so younger children can take a break if necessary. Join us for a wonderful shared experience for the whole family! No registration required. Pick up a ticket at the Children's Desk the morning of the program.

  4. Pinwheels for Prevention

    Help us plant pinwheels! In observance of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, National Week of the Young Child and National Library Week, a Pinwheel Garden is being planted in Broomfield outside of the library. These whimsical toys are to remind the community of happy childhood days and to encourage positive parenting. The Pinwheels for Prevention campaign focuses on community activities and public policies that prioritize the healthy development of children in recognition that healthy children are an essential building block for community and economic development. Shining in the sun, the pinwheels represent a bright future for our children and our community. To get further involved visit the Broomfield Early Childhood Council at www.broomfieldecc.org.

  5. Children - Preschool Story Time

    A fun and interactive Story Time for children 3 - 5 years old who can sit on their own. Preschoolers enjoy stories and songs that develop early literacy skills and foster curiosity. Asking children to attend without their caregivers helps to develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school. No registration required. Tuesdays, 10:30-11 a.m. And repeated on Thursdays, 1:30-2 p.m. Pick up a ticket and name tag at the Children's Desk beginning a half hour before each story time.

  6. Children - ARF! Afternoon Reading Fun

    April 13, 2017, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Children's Library Story Room

    For kids in Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Students can read aloud to a therapy dog trained to listen quietly without correcting or judging. This creates a relaxing environment where readers can build their confidence and fluency. Bring your own book or choose a library book to read aloud to our dog friends. Sign-up at the Children's Desk beginning at 3:45 the day of the program. Space is limited. April 13 & 27, and May 11.
