Easter Fun for your little ones! Do you and your preschooler have plans for Easter? Look no further. This year’s Easter party will feature Easter games, inflatables, lots of prizes and best of all: your little one will get to meet the Easter Bunny!

There is no registration, just show up! March with the Easter Bunny starting at 11:30 am in front of the Bay to John Shaw Field at the Broomfield Community Park. After marching with the Easter Bunny, children age 8 and younger can participate in the 23rd Annual Egg Scramble, held at John Shaw Field. The Egg Scramble begins promptly at noon. Children are divided into the following age groups: 2 years and younger, 3 & 4 years, 5 & 6 years and 7 & 8 years. Provide your own basket. In case of inclement weather, the Egg Scramble will be at the Broomfield Community Center. Please call 303.464.5501 or check the website for more information.
Paws in the Park

Stop by for an Easter Egg hunt for the dogs. Easter Bonnet Parade and Pictures with the Bunny. The parade will begin at 3 pm at the Broomfield County Commons Dog Park. The egg hunt will follow the parade in the small and large dog parks. Bring a basket for the treats. All dogs MUST be on a leash for the event. No aggressive dogs and please pick up after your pet. Pre-register by April 14 to receive discounted rate of $3/$5. Day of event cost will be $5/$7. Presented by Broomfield High School Future Business Leaders of America.
Broomfield Trail Adventure

The 2017 Broomfield Trail Adventure will take place on Saturday, June 3 (location to be determined, visit broomfieldopenspace.com for more information). This is a great family friendly event to learn more about Broomfield’s trails and open space. The event is free and includes prizes, refreshments, and educational exhibits.

We start our celebration at 5:30 pm with pony rides and inflatables. Enjoy a free concert with the vocal band "FACE" and the extremely popular 80’s tribute band, ”That 80’s Band”. Bring your picnic dinner or enjoy a dinner from our vendors at the park. Charcoal grills are not permitted. After the concert, at dusk, the fireworks display begins, approximately 9:30 pm.
Great American Picnic’s 11th Annual Bike Parade
Decorate your bicycles/tricycles/wagons and scooters and meet at the Championship Field at Broomfield County Commons on Tuesday, July 4 at 5:30 pm. The bike parade is for all ages.
Parking will be available in the parking lots at the Broomfield County Commons. Additional parking will be located at Legacy High School with shuttles provided. RV’s, Campers, trailers or other extra-large vehicles will ONLY be allowed to park in the Legacy High School parking lots. Meet at the Gazebo at Legacy High School to take the shuttle to the Commons. Shuttles will start running at 5 pm. Limited Handicap parking available at the Commons west parking lot.

Great American Picnic Weather Notifications
If fire and police officials determine that continuing the fireworks display impacts the safety of individuals and property in the area, the display could be delayed or stopped. Should that happen, announcements will be made over the public address system and staff will notify viewers of the status. Please look for the lights located in the field where fireworks are displayed to see the fireworks display status. Rain Date for the fireworks ONLY is scheduled for July 5 approximately 9:30 pm.

Mini HaHa Triathlon

Join us for the 16th Mini Haha (Mini cuz it’s short, Haha cuz it’s fun)! This triathlon is designed for beginners or recreational athletes looking for a new challenge. Join us for the 6th annual MiniMini Haha Triathlon designed just for kids! This event is designed just like our adult triathlon: MiniMini ‘cuz it’s extra short for kids, and Haha, ‘cuz it’s super fun! This is a non-competitive event designed to help encourage kids to be active and healthy and make exercising fun, rewarding, and a lifelong skill. The event will be a non-timed event to keep the spirit of the competition that every child is a winner, just for participating and accomplishing their goals! Of course, having a parent participant in the adult version should help motivate them as well as get the whole family involved!
